Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineering Lead with deep expertise in test automation, quality engineering, and CI/CD to drive the evolution of our testing methodologies. In this role, you will lead a team of QA engineers, define and implement scalable test strategies, and work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance software reliability and performance. Your technical leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, robust, and resilient software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of test automation, shift-left testing, and continuous quality improvement.
- Design and implement scalable, automated testing strategies that encompass functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using modern tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and other industry-standard frameworks.
- Work closely with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless deployment and delivery.
- Establish robust defect tracking and test coverage metrics, ensuring thorough validation across all stages of the SDLC.
- Implement load, stress, and performance testing strategies to ensure system resilience under high-demand scenarios.
Define key quality metrics and provide data-driven insights to leadership for continuous process enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
8 years of experience in software quality engineering, covering manual, automation, and performance testing.
- 10 years of experience leading QA teams with a strong focus on automation-first and shift-left testing methodologies.
- Experience in cloud-based security testing (UEBA, SOAR, TDIR) and enterprise security products.
- Expertise in designing test strategies, planning, and architecting scalable automation solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, JIRA, SQL, API testing, and debugging tools.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and test automation languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript).
- Experience in integrating testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions).
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile development environment.

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $203,200.00 - 279,400.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $182,880.00 - 251,460.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $162,560.00 - 223,520.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
