Job Summary
The Spokane Club's Housekeeping staff are responsible for cleaning the overnight guest rooms, hallways, and various other areas of the Club’s hotel. Additional cross training may be required in the laundry facility or janitorial department to assist, as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Daily cleaning of overnight hotel guest rooms including, but not limited to:
- Strips and remakes beds with fresh linen
- Empties wastebaskets and installs new liners
- Wipes all window sills, walls, baseboards, and light switches
- Vacuums rooms and hallways
- Dusts all furniture and fixtures
- Checks lamps for burned out light bulbs
- Wipes mirrors, windows, coffee machine, and refrigerator
- Checks heating/air conditioning unit for proper operation and sets temperature
- Changes mattress pads and blankets if needed
- Restocks stationary, refreshments, drink-ware, and other room amenities
- Cleans and sanitizes bathroom including toilets, tiles, tub, shower walls and curtains, sink, and fixtures
- Restocks towels, wash cloths, soap, toilet paper, and other bathroom supplies
- Ensures clean bathrobes, luggage rack, ironing board, and iron are available in each room
- Notifies front desk team when guestrooms are clean and ready for sale
- Daily stocking of supply closets and housekeeping cart
- Possible cross-training with laundry and club attendant roles
- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- One year experience in hotel housekeeping preferred
- High School diploma or GED
- Positive attitude; attention to detail; takes pride and ownership in job
- Customer-service orientation to create an atmosphere of genuine care for members and guests and to provide a high level of personalized service
- Ability to think and act quickly, problem solve, and perform effectively under pressure while maintaining a helpful and poised demeanor
- Professional appearance at all times
- Ability to work flexible hours on-call

- Bend, kneel, and reach overhead to move items
- See at a close range for detail cleaning
- Push and pull equipment such as vacuum cleaners for extended periods of time
- Work while standing and walking for most of shift
- Apply pressure while cleaning such as pumice stone toilets
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
- Able to stand for approximately 90% of an 8 hour shift
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms
