Job Description:
As a Real Estate Closer/Escrow Officer, you will be responsible for managing and closing real estate transactions in compliance with legal and company guidelines. Your role is vital in ensuring that all parties involved in the transaction—buyers, sellers, borrowers, agents and lenders—have a seamless and efficient experience. You will be responsible for preparing closing documents, coordinating with parties, and facilitating timely and accurate transfer of funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare escrow files, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Communicate with buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents to gather necessary information and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Schedule and coordinate closing dates and locations.
- Prepare and explain closing documents, including settlement statements, deeds, and affidavits.
- Ensure that all funds are properly disbursed and that transactions comply with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain and update escrow records and files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Address and resolve any issues that arise during the closing process in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the closing process.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Escrow Closer or in a similar role within the real estate or title industry.
- Strong knowledge of escrow and title processes, real estate transactions, and closing procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding real estate closings.
- Proficient in using escrow and title software (experience with RAMQuest is a plus).
- LPO license (preferred) and Notary Public certification (Will be required if you don’t already have it).
