Job Summary:
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on children’s lives by way of sports? Spokane Gymnastics is seeking to hire Instructional Gymnastics Coaches to start May 15th, 2025! Join our team and help students develop strength, skill, and character in a supportive and fun environment. Classes range from Tiny Tots (starting at 12 months old) to Instructional Gymnastics (ages 5- Adult), plus Ninja Zone, TNT (Trampoline and Tumbling), and Parkour. Most positions are afternoon, evening, and/or weekends, and hours typically range from 8-20 hours per week. Paid training for this position is 12 hours per week and takes 6 weeks. Pay range is $16.75 - $20 per hour. Starting pay depends on experience. This is not a seasonal or summer-only role. We are seeking committed individuals who are looking for consistent, ongoing employment throughout the year.

Responsibilities:
- Teach gymnastics, ninja, or parkour classes in a safe and supportive environment that fosters strength, skill, and character.
- Create engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and personal growth, aligned with the organization’s philosophy of providing opportunities for every student to succeed.
- Monitor and evaluate each student’s progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
- Encourage and inspire confidence by delivering positive reinforcement, encouragement, and constructive feedback to every student.
- Communicate with parents about their child’s progress and provide feedback on areas for improvement.
- Ensure equipment safety and maintain a clean, organized gym space.
- Maintain accurate skill charts and provide level recommendations for each student.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required (Thursday evenings) to continuously improve coaching strategies and uphold the organization’s commitment to excellence.
- Contribute to a positive team culture by collaborating with coworkers and taking on additional duties as needed to support the overall success of the program.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4 hours) and lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform frequent acrobatic activities as part of job duties.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn safe and effective spotting techniques.
- Willingness to learn and eagerness to grow as a coach.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with kids, parents, and coworkers.
- Strong time management skills and proven ability to be reliable.
- Enthusiastic about coaching students.
- Experience in gymnastics or coaching is a plus.
- Experience in early childhood development is a plus.
- Experience in teaching is a plus.
