We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service to our residents. This position is essential in creating a positive dining experience for our residents in a nursing home setting.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established menus and dietary requirements.
- Ensure that all food items are presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperatures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, and dining spaces.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage inventory and assist with food ordering as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents' needs and preferences regarding their meals.
- Support the culinary team by performing various kitchen tasks as assigned, including cleaning and organizing workspaces.
Skills
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred, especially within the culinary or dietary aide roles.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction.
- Excellent time management abilities to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and ability to maintain a clean working environment.
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions commonly found in nursing homes is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
