Spokane Produce, Inc. is seeking a qualified Warehouse Day Receiver to add to our team.
This is a full-time, year-round position with advancement opportunities. You will work four 10-hour shifts starting at 6:00AM until approximately 4:30PM. Your work-days will be Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You must be able to also work on holidays, if scheduled.
Performs any combination of the following tasks to receive, store and distribute produce and products within the warehouse of this regional distributor.
Description Of Job Function
~ Prefer working knowledge of warehousing, pallet jack operations, pallet building and inventory procedures
~ Able to work in a cold environment year-round
~ Lift from 1 to 50 pounds of product (from floor to overhead, and vice versa) for 10-hour periods on a daily basis
~ Ability to read, write and communicate in English, as it relates to the job and safety regulations, is required
~ Must be able to work overtime, if needed
~ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
~ Timely attendance
~ Reliable transportation
~ Ability to constantly lift/move/pull or push up to 100 pounds of product
~ Requires complete visual ability to minimize personal and property damage
All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen, and continue to satisfy our drug testing policy if offered employment. We are a Federal Contractor and drug free workplace, which includes a prohibition on marijuana use for all employees.

Description Of Job Function
- Works with truck dispatcher to find out times each day of when trucks are scheduled to arrive
- Plans day around the priority of each truck coming in with what product the warehouse needs at the time
- Accepts and review bills of lading or invoices and verifies accuracy of delivery; putting notations for the buyer if something is wrong on the bill or invoice upon receiving the product
- Opens containers to verify product quality and completeness are in order. Uses pulp thermometer to temp all incoming product. Records the temperature from the trailer being unloaded at the time of arrival. Records all temperatures as applicable on Purchase Order for each product pulped
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas by hand, or electric pallet jack
- Labels materials with identifying information using pre-printed label. May generate the label from computer program
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, color, style, or product code
- Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms
- Picks orders as needed when receiving duties are completed for the day, or as directed by foreman
- Performs general cleaning of warehouse area which includes sweeping, dusting, mopping and emptying trash and placing in the dumpster
- May assist drivers with obtaining "shorts". Will assist with inventory which is performed twice per month in the warehouse
- Assist with quality walks when applicable
- Other tasks that may be assigned
