NATURE OF WORK:
Performs varied work within the Marketing Department that supports the department manager.
SUPERVISION:
Work is performed under general supervision, with questionable cases referred to the manager depending on work assigned, reports to the Marketing Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, administering, monitoring and scheduling print, social, web, and digital marketing campaigns, and platforms.
- Coordinates the scheduling, processing, routing, and trafficking of event and building advertising.
- Manages media strategy, campaigns, and day to day activities. Duties include online advocacy, making sure online editorial is timely and accurate.
- Plans, negotiates, and places media buys while working within a budget. Coordinates promotions to accompany paid buys.
- Supports the marketing team by researching artists to develop, organize, and produce artist and client gifts.
- Works to develop relationships with local organizations to establish new advertising and trade opportunities.
- Tracks and responds to customer questions and monitors reviews.
- Monitors company websites on a weekly basis to ensure all copy and content is updated and accurate. Provides recommendations regarding web updates, upgrades, and functionality.
- Writes and effectively develops messaging that works across multiple communication channels.
- Responsible for event calendar updates and communication to surrounding hotels, restaurants, and businesses.
- Supports the department with editing, proofreading, printing, distribution of materials, fan engagement activations on event days, press opportunities and signage.
- Analyzes demographic data and market trends to improve marketing efforts. Tracks ticket sales and works with the team to achieve marketing goals.
- Interacts with employees and management to ensure complete understanding, execution, and selling points of all marketing promotions.
- Works closely with internal departments to develop engaging content to elevate brand and increase business.
- Ensures control/protection of company assets.
- Works nights and weekends frequently and holidays as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, often-changing, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional customer service skills required.
- AA Degree in Marketing, Business, or Advertising and at least four years’ experience in a fast pace setting in web and social media marketing, promotions, advertising, or public relations; and/or combination of education and work experience.
- Social media experience in content creation, scheduling and paid advertising is strongly desired.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and social media platforms.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, and/or email marketing programs a plus.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate in a group setting; public speaking experience preferred.
- Must possess strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills. Proven problem-solving and multitasking skills are essential.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, organizing, and completing projects within budget and time constraints.
- Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
SALARY AND STATUS:
Hourly $25.21 - $35.29
