****Please attach a cover letter and resume to your application****BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: FLSA non-exempt position responsible for the administrative and technical work in maintaining and retrieving records pertaining to call taking and dispatching functions. This position also responds to various requests for public disclosure and is responsible for maintaining the Center’s records requests retention, keeping in compliance with state, federal and regulatory agencies. This position reports to the Office Manager.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Maintains all records related to call taking and dispatching functions to include telephone, text-to-911, radio, Telecommunication Device for the Deaf/Teletypewriter (TDD/TTY) and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD).Clearly and accurately documents all actions pertaining to records function.• Responds to public disclosure requests in a timely manner and as dictated by state and federal law, regulatory agencies or the Center’s policies and procedures by collecting, tracking and appropriately disseminating all pertinent information.• Responds to subpoenas and appears in court to provide testimony as required.• Organizes and processes complete and accurate information in a logical manner when testifying in court.• Researches and reproduces copies of calls, TDD/TTY, radio communications, and incident documentation for customer agencies, public safety departments, media, citizens and attorneys as necessary.• Maintains an accurate log of all requests.• Provides oversight and assistance to all other internal areas regarding State Archivist and Federal/State laws related to records retention requirements.• Organizes and maintains accurate files and records.• Maintains confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner.• Provides backup to Administrative department as necessary.• May train other staff members to create recordings and release records.• Develops ad hoc reports from various data sources.• Reliable, dependable and reports for work on a consistent basis.• Performs other work as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Office environment• Occasional courtroom sitesPHYSICAL, SENSORY AND MENTAL DEMANDS: • Light lifting, carrying and pushing objects weighing up to 15 pounds.Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard, recording equipment, copy and printing machines.• Sitting for extended periods of time.• Ability to read and discern various font sizes from various print media.• Hearing and speaking to exchange information.• Ability to legally drive a vehicle.
