Position Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a busy solo practitioner in a downtown law firm. This position will be 30 to 40 hours a week with competitive hourly pay ranging from $19 to $24.
Duties:
- Act as the lead for client communications, in person, via email, and on the phone.
- Manage scheduling of client appointments.
- Prepare and manage physical and digital files.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all client interactions.
- Provide administrative support and assist with document preparation.
- Coordinate with third parties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be our clients' first point of contact and will work closely with the attorney.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to learn firm-specific software.
- Keen attention to detail.
- At least some college education.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
- Knowledge of estate planning is a plus but not required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
