Experienced Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator: Occupational Medicine
Spokane Work Injury Clinic is actively seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator to complement its team of health professionals. We promote a smaller practice culture emphasizing a compassionate patient experience, teamwork, and communication.
As a Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator you will be responsible for providing support to the licensed medical providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Experience with workers compensation preferred.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regular, consistent, and timely attendance.
- Politely answer telephones, greet and schedule patients.
- Interview patients to obtain basic medical information, review and update information in EMR.
- Professionally communicate with attorneys, clinics, nurse case managers, claim managers and referral sources to relay/request information.
- Administer questionnaires/assist with forms; complete imaging and lab slips.
- Complies with completeness, accuracy and timeliness of documentation within the EMR and other documents
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, or physicians’ instructions to patients.
- Assist providers by relaying information and responding to emails from attorneys and patients
- Obtain claim and account access, verify status, request and track records for new patients to prepare for provider review.
Requirements:
- 2 year minimum of relevant medical front desk scheduling experience.
- Advanced computer proficiency. Including MS Office, MS Excel and patient management software.
- Ability to quickly comprehend and take direction.
- Information collection and management - ability to collect, organize and monitor data efficiently.
- Planning and organizing - ability to multi-task, prioritize and schedule tasks and activities.
- Attention to detail - ability to produce accurate and high quality work through concern for all areas involved.
- Superior customer service skills - ability to develop outstanding customer relationships with a focus on achieving customer satisfaction. Emphasis on kindness and compassion.
- Adaptability - ability to adjust approach to meet changing demands and situations including dealing with diverse people.

Pay: $19.00 per hour DOE
