This position is part of the supervisory team for the Transitions Program, which provides support to individuals reentering the community after a period of incarceration. The Support Staff Supervisor is responsible for the training and supervision of support staff who provide transitional housing services and participant support. The Support Staff Supervisor works with the Case Manager Supervisor to ensure consistent delivery of services under the direction of the Transitions Program Director. The Support Staff Supervisor will be trained in Case Management (CM) duties and able to fill-in CM duties as needed by the program.

Job Responsibilities
Supervise a team of support staff members at the Roosevelt Crossing Campus.
- Provide direct supervision to Support Staff to ensure the safety, security and cleanliness of our campuses is maintained.
- Manage Support Staff schedules at Roosevelt Crossing campus to maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Conduct routine 1:1s with direct reports on a regular basis.
- Conduct routine quality assurance audits to ensure campus safety measures are effective. Collaborate with the Transitions Program Director to make program adjustments and improvements as needed.
- Recruit, onboard and train new hires. Ensure all new hires have been trained in safety protocols and relevant program and organizational policies before working independently.
- Manage participant room and chore checks by support staff. Collaborate with case management when necessary to help participants maintain program compliance in this area.
- Ensure support staff complete timely and thorough cleaning/preparation of rooms for incoming participants.
- Ensure support staff clean and maintain organized office and designated campus areas; submit facility work orders and report safety concerns when necessary.
- Review log entries to identify concerns for participant compliance and safety concerns about campus facilities and visitors to campus. Ensure support staff enforce and redirect visitors according to policy and participant authorizations.
- Resolve any activity that is out of the ordinary on the property or in the adjacent parking lots with appropriate program and organization Directors. Monitor and respond to unauthorized activity and guests on campus.
- Train and ensure support staff interact with each program participant in a professional manner, modeling appropriate boundaries and respect for all participants and staff.
- Train support staff and enforce program guidelines with new participants to ensure full understanding of expectations and rules.
- Coordinate assistance and support to participants as needed, and in collaboration with case management staff.
- Oversee routine and random urinalysis (UA) testing practices and protocols.
- Coordinate food inventory and delivery of food boxes to participants with the Procurement Department. Ensure support staff enforce safe food handling and storage including removal of old/expired food.
- Coordinate tracking and assignment of participants and jobs for day-labor projects in collaboration with the Operations Department.
- Ensure support staff accurately document and communicate directly to case management staff and/or other program supervisors.
- Ensure support staff walk the property at least three times per night, ensuring all exterior doors are locked and noting any activity that is out of the ordinary on the property or in the adjacent parking lot.
- Respond to reports of any suspicious activity. Ensure the appropriate authorities and department supervisors are informed of concerns.
- Ensure participant room and safety checks at night. Train support staff and facilitate reporting of any unexpected participant or guest activities on campus.
- Oversee monitoring of visitors to the program; ensure their visits are restricted to the appropriate hours/spaces and that their behavior is appropriate at all times.
- Attend and actively participate in scheduled program staff meetings, monthly all-staff meetings, and weekly case management meetings.
- Participate in scheduled trainings as requested by management staff.
- Maintain regular direct communication, both written and verbal, with program supervisors and other Sponsors staff regarding participant progress and conduct, facilities operations, and organizational protocols/procedures.
- Communicate with community partners, such as Parole and Probation Officers and Emergence staff, as needed to collaborate on participant needs, expectations and updates.
- Collaborate with Quantum Property Managment and Parole & Probation to complete random UA testing of residents located at The Oakes.
- Provide after-hours, on-call support by phone in rotation with Case Managers and other program supervisors.
- Provide backup case management support as needed.
- Provide support to the overall application processing and bed list management as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Transitions Program Director.

- 2 years of experience providing direct client services in social service setting
- Experience with client or customer data management software such as HMIS/Wellsky or CDL, is preferred
- 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
- Higher education degree in related field preferred
- The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
- This position will travel between locations at the direction of the supervisor in an effort to meet organizational needs.
- May encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
