Spooky Nook Sports Champion Mill is Looking for qualified and passionate lacrosse coaches to facilitate privates lesson, group training, camps, clinics, and/or youth lacrosse leagues.  The ideal candidate must have at least two years of coaching/playing experience at the club, college, or higher level and possess the ability to take athletes from where they are to where they want to be in each session.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Promote, schedule, organize, and administer private and group lessons.
  • Aid in developing and instructing volleyball camps, clinics, and youth leagues.
  • Teach skills and strategies of the game to players of all ages and skill levels.
  • Provide direction, encouragement and motivation for all athletes
  • Understand and explain all rules and regulations of each sport
  • Collect, organize, and return all needed athletic supplies and equipment
  • Maintain constant communication with the Director of Coaching and League Manager to determine equipment and program needs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Background in sports (playing or coaching) with general knowledge about the sport of lacrosse
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Dependable transportation to and from work
  • Language skills: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication
  • Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position with any reasonable accommodations as necessary
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current CPR/AED certification preferred
  • Experience working with children
  • Highly dependable with a history of consistent attendance and punctuality

Working Conditions:

  • Work environment: Upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot traffic and frequent large crowds.
  • Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to perform physical activity that includes moving about the work area, standing, sitting, bending, reaching with hands and arms, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing and smelling. The team member will be frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. He or she is required to have the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Lifting requirements: The team member will be required to lift, push, pull, lower and/or move up to 10 lbs regularly, and up to 40 lbs occasionally. 
  • Noise Level: The noise level in this environment is typically moderate to loud.

Work schedule: The work schedule may fluctuate to include evenings and weekends.
