Position Summary:
The Warehouse & Logistics Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimizing warehouse operations, inventory management, supplier coordination, and logistics processes. This role ensures the accurate tracking of inventory, efficient supplier relationships, and the seamless flow of goods within and outside the organization. The Warehouse & Logistics Lead plays a key role in maintaining optimal stock levels, streamlining logistics systems, and driving process improvements to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a focus on operational efficiency, supplier management, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-5
Inventory Tracking and Analysis:
- Monitoring inventory levels across all product lines to identify potential stockouts or overstocking situations.
- Performing regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy against system records.
- Analyzing sales data and demand forecasts to predict future inventory needs.
- Examine the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages.
- Document daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory.
- Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations, and stock levels.
- Three to five years of WMS experience.
Purchasing and Supplier Management:
- Collaborating with the purchasing department to place orders with suppliers based on inventory levels and lead times.
- Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any delivery issues.
- Properly order new supplies, avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies.
- Analyze various suppliers to ensure the company is receiving the best cost-effective deals.
Warehouse Operations Management:
- Implementing and maintaining inventory management systems, including barcode scanning and stock rotation.
- Overseeing receiving and shipping processes, including quality checks and proper documentation.
- Evaluating new inventory, ensuring it’s ready to ship.
Reporting and Data Analysis:
- Generating inventory reports on stock levels, reorder points, and inventory turnover rates.
- Identifying trends and areas for improvement in inventory management.
- Analyzing data to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
- Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, and safety records.
Problem Solving and Discrepancy Resolution:
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, including damaged goods, theft, or system errors.
- Implementing corrective actions to address inventory issues and prevent future problems.
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, and inventory inaccuracy.
Logistics and Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as purchasing, order management systems, accounting, or shipping.
- Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
- Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
- Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements.
Experience:
- Three to five years of proven experience related to this job.

Work Environment and Conditions:

- Work Setting: Position involves working in a warehouse environment where temperatures may vary from cold to hot depending on the season.
- Use of Equipment: Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners.
- Noise Level: Moderate to high noise levels due to warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Visual Requirements: Ability to read labels, documentation, and computer screens for extended periods.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Must adhere to company safety guidelines, including the use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed footwear.
- Work Hours: May require early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime to meet operational needs.

- Lift up to forty-five pounds
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Use carts, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
- Withstand freezing temperatures of -10*F with proper gear provided by the company
- Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
