SPORTFIVE is seeking a Senior Digital Specialist - Global Soccer based in New York, NY. The Specialist will be responsible for leading the day-to-day account management and social media management of one of the world’s most prestigious soccer rights-holders.
This role will help manage communications with the client and the process in which we create and publish content during the week and on match days. This role will be key in helping grow and develop the right-holder’s digital audience in its region but also globally.
The role involves working with major brands, sports right-holders, talents, events, and entertainment.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
SPORTFIVE is providing the compensation range it might pay for this position. The rate of pay offered will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Plan, create and post content for the right-holders social media platforms including but not limited to X, Instagram, and Facebook -- on weekdays, evenings and weekends (i.e., day-to-day content, game day, large scale events).
- Manage and collaborate on the content calendar for the rights-holder with teammates and the client.
- Publishing social content in the right-holder’s tone-of-voice
- Lead creative and storytelling efforts across the right-holder’s different social channels
- Provide and manage live match coverage on weeknights and weekends
- Play a lead role in the management of the relationship with the client, including driving communication with all relevant stakeholders at the right-holder
- Understand and utilize different social media tools and platforms, including but not limited to: content generation and management, social listening, platform management
- Manage and implement social programming related to the right-holder’s key fixtures and events in an ongoing manner
- Work cross-functionally across creative, commercial, brand, and data to ensure social media strategy is aligned with overall marketing initiatives
- Build connections and develop collaborations with influencers, the other relevant right-holders, and the broadcasters
- Support and monitor paid media campaigns and advertising
- Execute and optimize business performance reporting including but not limited to: monthly recaps, benchmarking, performance monitoring, campaign evaluation, best practices, etc.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and photo and video editing tools (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere)
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
- 2-4 years of social media and content creation experience, preferably with an agency or professional sports team/rights-holder
- Proficient and fluent in spoken/written Spanish and English
- Possession of key interpersonal skills and traits: detail-orientation, time management in deadline-rich environment, organization, prioritization and focus, self-starting and proactive, problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Soccer Fan!
- Prior corporate experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok
- Prior experience managing team or league handles for a soccer and/or sports team
- Experience working with social media management and listening platforms
- Basic knowledge of photo and video editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere
- Experience in developing branded content and activation concepts
- Understanding of media buying mechanisms on social media and video sharing platforms.
- Experience with formal project management principles
- Role is based in our NYC Office, (4) days a week in-office
- May require travel to client site at an estimate of 0-20 days per year.
- Essential duties may be required to be performed during non-traditional hours or days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
