Pro Shop Sales Associate

SUMMARY

The Pro Shop Sales Associate connects with guests and visitors immediately in a friendly manner. Assists them in finding what they are looking for by explaining various products, suggests products, etc. and ensures the pro shop inventory is stocked and catalogued.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Attendance is an essential job function

· Connect with members and guests as quickly as possible in a friendly manner to facility sales

· Understand merchandise and current tennis fashion trends

· Recommend, select and help locate merchandise based on customer needs and desires

· Track and stock inventory – responsible for all orders to maintain inventory

· Replenish inventory in the pro shop each day as needed

· Daily tracking of sales and budget

· Abide by SPORTIME policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

· Knowledge of principles for providing customer, personal service, and sales

· Basic budget knowledge – understanding revenue vs. expense

· Ability to interact with a wide array of personalities and customers

· Ability to lift and carry up to 10lbs

· Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time

· Ability to communicate information verbally and in writing clearly

· Developing constructive and cooperative work relationships with others and maintaining them over time.

· Organizational ability to maintain storage areas and track inventory

WORK CONTEXT/ACTIVITIES

· The position requires the employee to be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude.

· This position interacts directly with the public

SALARY: $17.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Flexible part-time 10-20 hours per week. Mondays-Fridays, some weeknights and weekends required. Multiple positions available at Syosset and Port Washington locations.
