Essential Functions
- Must maintain a friendly, positive attitude and above all maintain a professional demeanor.
- Modify menus and/or create new ones that meet quality standards and proper costing guidelines.
- Plans and directs food preparation and culinary activities.
- Ability to teach culinary cooking skills.
- Ensures that only the highest-of-quality product is served to our guests.
- Maintains and abides by County and State Health/Sanitation as well as Sporting KC standards.
- Keep time and payroll records.
- Shows flexibility by rotating to other service locations when necessary.
- Meets with Executive Chef to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes, and other information pertinent to job performance.
- Ensures that all equipment is in proper operating condition and is cleaned on a regular basis.
- Strong meat and fish butchery, sauce making, as well as advanced cooking techniques.
- Promote the importance of sustainability and reduction of food waste through planning, monitoring, and standardized controls.
- Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by Executive Chef.
Match Day Responsibilities
- Must maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers, staff, and above all our clients and fans.
- Meets with Culinary Managers to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes, and other information pertinent to job performance.
- Ensures that only the highest-of-quality product is served to our guests.
- Maintains, collects and communicates all event day waste to Executive Chef .

Skills and Experience
- Culinary degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-years Sous Chef experience in a high-volume venue.
- ServSafe Certified.
- Communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Strong commitment to delivering a high level of standards and training the staff to operate in the same manner.
- Guest service oriented.
- Must be able to pass a culinary test administered by our Executive Chef.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
