Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gymnastics Instructor to coach our team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for gymnastics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students of all ages. Prior experience as a competitive gymnast with USA Gymnastics and/or as a coach is a plus. As a Gymnastics Instructor, you will play a vital role in teaching gymnastics skills, promoting physical fitness, and encouraging personal growth among participants. As a Team Coach, you will work with athletes on both compulsory and optional routine development and meet preparation.
Duties
- Instruct students in various gymnastics techniques and routines, ensuring safety and proper form.
- Develop lesson plans that cater to different skill levels, from beginners to advanced gymnasts.
- Educate students on the importance of physical fitness and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve their skills.
- Maintain attendance and communicate with parents on athlete's progress.
- Maintain a safe and organized training environment, use lesson plans to format class structure, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create engaging programs and events.
- Assist in organizing gymnastics competitions and showcases.
- Keep gym facilities clean and organized.
Experience
- Previous experience as a competitive gymnast or team coach a plus
- Membership and certification with USA Gymnastics is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Previous experience working with students in a coaching or instructional capacity is preferred.
- Background in physical education, sports coaching, or related fields is advantageous.
- Skills in additional disciplines such as Dance or Cheer are a plus.
- Experience in childcare or working with children of various age groups is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of climbing techniques and safety measures is an asset.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
