JOB TITLE: Sports Performance Coach

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Sports Academy is currently seeking a part-time experienced performance coach to join our team in our Plano, Texas location. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Takes a proactive approach in the creation and execution of the NSCA Strength and Conditioning program, curriculum, and courses.

• Builds and maintains positive and respectful relations with SA team members.

• Assists in keeping the gym clean and sanitary.

• Monitors data collection from athletes and implementing changes as needed.

• Demonstrates proficiency in SA athlete & client intake procedures.

• Operates within a performance management plan under the direction of SA leadership.

• Maintains CEU expectancy - annual education mandated.

• Adheres to policies and procedures set forth in the trainer handbook.

• Actively participates in client acquisition and client retention strategies to help grow the business.

• Coaches and leads a variety of classes in a safe and organized environment, with the intention to help all clients in the class achieve their training goals.

• Is motivating, energetic, and creates an environment that makes clients come back for more.

Required Skills and Experience

• 2 years of experience in a Performance Training Role.

• Certification from an NCCA-accredited institution (NSCA, NASM etc.).

• Degree in Kinesiology or related field preferred.

• CPR/AED Certified

• Performance coaches will be required to lift and move weights in working with clients.

• Experience working in team sports preferred.

• Effective time management, organization and planning skills.

• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

• Basic level competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Weekends as needed

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

• Plano, TX 75074: Relocate before starting work (Required)
