CUSTOM PRODUCT PLANNER/BUYER

Job Purpose
The team merchandising group plans and purchases uniforms, warm-ups, materials and fan wear for our team business. The Custom Product Planner/Buyer would oversee the assortment planning, forecasting, and procurement of custom inventory in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to shape and lead this growing segment of our business. Collaborating with marketing, sales and vendors, this individual will play an active part in creating sales initiatives, forecasting, reporting and merchandising the website.
Major Accountabilities/ Essential Duties
Job Purpose

The Custom Product Planner/Buyer would oversee the assortment planning, forecasting, and procurement of custom inventory in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to shape and lead this growing segment of our business. Collaborating with marketing, sales and vendors, this individual will play an active part in creating sales initiatives, forecasting, reporting and merchandising the website.
Major Accountabilities/ Essential Duties
- Create and be responsible for accuracy of all custom parts in SAP system.
- Mange vendor relationships with our custom partners, determining product assortments and resolving conflicts.
- Oversee life cycle of product assortments from item set up to liquidation.
- Collaborate with marketing on print, digital and marketing sales tools to support inventoried product assortment.
- Work with Inventory Planners on pre-season analysis and building/updating forecasting tool assumptions and trends.
- Audit and track custom forecasts and adjustments from Club Forecasting and Planning software (CFP). Work with sales reps and forecast team to address forecasting issues.
- Analyze inventory and forecasts to determine additional product needs or liquidate slow selling goods.
- Evaluate custom fan wear assortment and designs to determine additional needs for specific sports.
- Placing custom orders on vendor website for our PlayerPass partners and for bulk club partner needs.
- Placing orders in SAP system, tracking and maintaining accurate PO status dates and other information.
- Work cross-functionally with accounting, fulfillment center, sales, and other departments on custom product issues as they arise.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of retail math, including analyzing margins, mark-ups, turn and profit/item.
- Proficient in MS Excel, including knowledge of pivot tables, xlookups and advanced data analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Must have 4 year college degree or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in merchandising, procurement or supply chain management.
- Experience with custom builder platforms and SAP is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, a self-motivator.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once without sacrificing attention to detail.
