SHIPPING SUPERVISOR

Department : Shipping

Reports to : Director Of Fulfillment

Location : On-site in Mebane, NC

Shift : 1st

Off-Peak : 7 : 30 a.m. - 3 : 30 p.m.
Peak : 6 : 30 a.m. - 6 : 30 p.m.

During the 12-hour peak shifts, team members follow a rotating schedule that includes working four shifts one week and three shifts the following week. This schedule allows for two long weekends off per month.

Job Purpose

The Shipping Supervisor will supervise an hourly workforce and provide direction, leadership, and development to team members in the shipping / packing area.

We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a strong focus on customer service and a desire to work for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a "roll-up your sleeves" attitude.

Major Accountabilities / Essential Duties

Responsibilities

Ensure each team member fully understands our expectations and goals in the job they are performing.

Have knowledge of all areas (packing, sorting, picking) and procedures of the Shipping Department.

Responsibilities for product flow, productivity, accuracy, and quality of service goals for supervised employees.

Maintain regular communications to present business updates, area updates, and general communication to team members assigned.

Manage the work schedule and attendance for the shift.

Hold employees accountable for productivity standards, quality standards and all Company and Fulfillment Center policies and procedures. Counsel team members that do not meet our PUMP program.

Address employee performance issues on a daily basis by providing constructive feedback.

Work on multiple SAP reports and ASTROS daily.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college work preferred.

Prior supervisory experience required.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Must be able to distinguish color.

Must be proficient in English. Bilingual skills a plus but not required.
