Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Overview
New pediatric sports medicine and orthopedics clinic seeking a detail-oriented, upbeat and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires strong proficiency in various clerical duties, solid organizational skills and a team-minded mindset to ensure smooth operations within this new and rapidly growing practice.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
• Schedule appointments and maintain the calendar for physician.
• Handle medical collections and process payments as needed.
• Maintain accurate electronic patient medical records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and filed correctly.
• Utilize Epic software for patient management and data entry.
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information regarding services offered.
• Assist with medical administrative support tasks, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents, insurance verification and authorizations.
• Communicate effectively with patients showing patience, empathy.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care.

Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is preferred.
• Strong clerical skills including data entry, correspondence via email/phone and document management.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Knowledge of orthopedics and/or sports medicine is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong interest in collaboration, working together is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
