Orthopedic sports medicine physician practice looking for a highly motivated individual to join our clinical team as a Medical Assistant -KLARA
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Support Clinical and Patient Experience Teams by serving in Klara system chat and communications
· Handle online and over phone patient concerns, needs, related to scheduling, follow up appointments, and medical questions as qualified
· Routing to, and scheduling of, patients and referral sources to appropriate physicians' teams and departments teams.
· Serve as a liaison between clinical and patient experience departments, supporting the needs of the company as assigned
· Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chart as assigned by clinical director
· Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filled out and available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment
· Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records, keeping patient information confidential
· Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations; Assist with in house procedure under physician supervision
· Disinfects, cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations; Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
· Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required; Properly disposes of contaminated supplies
· Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
· Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. expired supplies, emergency medications, expired medications, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
· Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
· Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings.
· Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.
· Interviews patients to obtain their medical history.
· Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files.
· Performs routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks.
· Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain vehicle insurance
· Regular attendance required
· Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

EXPERIENCE: 1 years of experience in office, clerical, or medical work; medical assistant, admissions rep, or clinic support (preferred), or customer service
ABILITIES: Must demonstrate strong leadership and effective communication skills. Excellent planning, organization and managements skills. Ability to multi-task, works in a fast-paced work environment, and demonstrates team cooperation.
Job Type: Full-time - Monday through Friday with a few rotating Saturday mornings. Onsite training for the first 90 days. work from home upon completion of training depending on performance.
