Purpose of Position:
- Coordinate new product logistics, ensuring launch policies and deadlines are adhered to and all elements for website product posting and content (including social and video) have been met.
- Create online content that is accurate, helpful, and engaging for use across a variety of digital platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Coordination
- Organize and maintain documentation for all footwear launch dates, including pre-order/presale dates and media embargos.
- Contact vendors to obtain products for in-house imaging, testing and reviews.
- Organize the receipt and temporary storage of product samples.
- Prepare and coordinate sample use and scheduling with staff and the Imaging Department.
- Facilitate the return of samples back to vendors.
- Assist with workflow coordination by assigning products for description writing.
- Ensure all descriptions, details, and categories have been assigned before product is made live on the website.
- Create new product files in point of sales software.
- Assist in the creation and transfer of online content across our international partners: Running Warehouse Europe and Running Warehouse Australia.
Content Development (Secondary Tasks, as assigned)
- Create and publish unique product descriptions for use on the website.
- Maintain product information, including categories, images, and how they are displayed.
- Merchandise a multitude of website categories.
- Edit written content produced by others.
- Participate, including as on-camera talent, in the production of videos for placement on the website, YouTube, television, social media channels and other outlets.
- Obtain and record technical product details, specifications, and measurements.
- Create engaging articles that bring traffic to the website.
- Uphold the following standards for all assigned content areas:
- Utilize SEO principles to maximize the content’s reach.
- Guarantee content is engaging, professional, clear and error-free.
- Identify and portray the professional voice(s) that suit our customers.
- Employ formatting that best engages and serves the customer.
- Meet assigned deadlines and schedules.
- Run in various products for testing and reviews.
- Incorporate a “who is the customer for this product” point of view and determine if product aligns with the intended audience. If not, what audience is it suited for.
Product Knowledge
- Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of running products and manufacturers.
- Be able to communicate functions, features, and benefits of products in written, graphic, and video formats.
- Attend vendor sell-in meetings and training sessions when necessary to learn about new products.

Work Environment - This position operates in a fast-paced professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, tablets and telephones. This position may require on-camera assignments which involve recording the employee with photography/videography equipment. The role may require travel via vehicle to off-site shooting locations. The employee may need to test a variety of products such as, but not limited to, shoes and clothing.

- Regularly required to handle objects, type on a computer, use tablets and phones and computer software.
