Tackle Warehouse and Riding Warehouse are looking for a full-time Retail Supervisor who will be responsible for ensuring that daily Retail operations are smoothly executed and that customers receive the highest caliber of service. We are looking for someone who can build a foundation for lasting relationships with new customers and foster an ongoing relationship with existing customers in the retail store and at social events. This individual will be responsible for providing training and guidance and sharing advanced knowledge and skills with peers and answering questions as they arise.
Supervisor Responsibilities
· Set an example for excellent work ethic and accountability.
· Show flexibility, approach-ability, and availability when it comes to communication with employees.
· Provide direction to employees pertaining to daily operations, handling special circumstances and producing excellent work.
· Ensure that workflow is productive and that daily duties are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
· Ensure employees are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures
· Confidently assess department needs and identify procedures that need development or refinement.
· Make decisions regarding operations as required.
· Effectively explain concepts and deliver training in a way that provides skill and confidence growth in employees.
· Provide feedback to management regarding employee performance and assist in employee reviews as requested.
· Exercise confidentiality and a respect for employee privacy in all aspects of the job.
· Work with Human Resources regarding employee issues in the absence of a manager.
· Work positively with employees from all departments in order to best serve the customer and the goals of the company.
· Maintain professional and appropriate behavior amongst the staff, ensuring that all staff are adhering to Sports Warehouse standards of conduct.
· Attend supervisor and staff meetings when scheduled.
· Continual learning and development of supervisory skills.
Customer Service
· Greet customers and offer warm hospitality throughout their visit.
· Provide thorough assistance to all customers in a friendly, professional, helpful and knowledgeable manner, including all Sports Warehouse curbside pick-up costumers.
· Display a comprehensive and current understanding of company policies, procedures, products and services.
· Offer outstanding customer service, meeting customer needs and exceeding expectations whenever possible.
· Maintain store inventory and appearance, engaging in stocking, merchandising and cleaning, either proactively or by assignment.
· Be flexible during busy times by helping fellow co-workers and multi-tasking.
· Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
· Continuously learn and develop skills, procedures and information relevant to the position.
· Understand resources available to locate answers to product questions.
· Communicate with other departments when necessary, regarding any customer issues.
· Other necessary duties deemed necessary in the daily operation of Sports Warehouse.
· Additional responsibilities may include participating in training clinics and providing product feedback for use on the website.
Employee Training and Development
· Field questions and provide assistance to Retail Staff as necessary.
· Administer skill and process training to Retail Staff as assigned by management.
· Utilize provided training documents, tools, procedures, and programs, while also identifying any need for additional training materials or topics.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has direct supervisory responsibility over a team of retail staff.
Work Environment
This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with standing for prolonged periods of time. This role routinely uses office/retail equipment, such as computers, tablets, cash registers and telephones.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle objects and type on a computer, use phones/tablets and computer software/cash registers to place customer orders and communicate with others to exchange information. The employee is frequently required to stand for prolonged periods of time and move about inside the building. Position may require standing for prolonged periods of time with use of hands/fingers while stringing racquets. The employee is sometimes required to sit, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects that weigh less than 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move items that weigh between 25-50 pounds.
