Privately owned physical therapy practice seeking a mature dynamic team player for the front desk. Medical front desk knowledge and experience is preferred but not required. Must have an outgoing personality mixed with professionalism and organization.
The front desk coordinator is the first point of contact for patients. The position is responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments within the office, completing administrative processing (insurance authorizations and verifications) and reports and recordkeeping. We are seeking an individual who is personable and naturally friendly, bright and inquisitive and an excellent communicator. The ability to support patients, answer their questions and lead them in directions to solve issues they may have is essential.
Essential job functions/qualifications:
- Must be able to work mornings and late afternoons
- Proficient computer and typing skills and knowledge of Word and Excel
- Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Able to demonstrate excellent phone etiquette
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Must be able to manage time
- Requires the ability to multitask
The hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8am-6pm (with 1.5 hours for lunch) and Tuesday and Thursday 8am-1pm. No weekends. Hours are not flexible.
This is not a temporary or summer position.
