Job Description
Sportsfield Specialties, Inc. in Deposit, NY is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor, who can lead with a positive attitude and winning mentality. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively as a production team leader, ensuring efficiency and quality in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:
Supervise production processes, including but not limited to material handling, machining, welding, sandblasting, powder coating, assembly, warehousing, and shipping.
Promote and maintain a culture emphasizing safety, quality, efficiency, and cost control.
Understand and identify priorities and ensure the team meets scheduled production goals.
Promotes continuous improvement and growth of people, processes, and products.
Maintain communication between management personnel, production team members, engineers, human resources and other applicable personnel.
Provide feedback to team members, including disciplinary action where warranted.
Work cross-functionally to address logistical and supply chain challenges.
Assist in the recruitment process, including candidate tours and interviews.
Conduct quality spot checks and provide feedback on findings to the team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Skills:
Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment with a willingness to learn new methods and technology.
Ability to process, organize, and prioritize large amounts of information.
Demonstrated strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, including mathematical aptitude.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
Ability to provide constructive feedback professionally, both positive and corrective.
Strong work ethic and high reliability.
Possess computer skills and ability to navigate ERP system with problem-solving capabilities.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
Experience/Education:
5 years of relevant experience required, and proven career growth is highly preferred.
Starting salary: $70K/annually DOE, great benefit package includes but not limited to; health, dental, vision, 401(k), Flexible Spending, life insurance and paid time off.
