At SportsRehab Physical Therapy, we’re a family-run, community-centered clinic dedicated to compassionate, high-quality care. We believe in supporting our team so they can support their patients—and we’re looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who shares that mission.
Position: Physical Therapy Assistant (Full-Time or Part-Time)As a PTA, you’ll play a vital role in helping patients recover function, manage pain, and achieve their goals. You’ll work closely with our physical therapists, contributing your skills and insight to deliver care that’s both evidence-based and deeply human.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT
- Support patient recovery by administering treatment programs and exercises
- Interview patients, review therapy histories, and assist with physical exams as appropriate
- Monitor and report patient progress, updating the supervising PT when necessary
- Follow PT-created treatment plans in compliance with the CA Practice Act
- Identify gaps in skills or treatment knowledge and proactively seek training
- Use a wide range of interventions including manual therapy, Pilates-based rehab, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-ed, gait training, and modalities
- Teach patients and families about the recovery process and home programs
- Assist patients with mobility aids such as crutches, canes, and prostheses
- Maintain safe, clean treatment areas by following infection-control protocols
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic, state, and federal standards
- Monitor your productivity, keeping services aligned with clinic benchmarks
- Stay informed and compliant with all legal, accreditation, and regulatory standards
- Continuously grow through educational opportunities, networking, and professional engagement
- Contribute to the clinic’s mission by being proactive, accountable, and collaborative
Qualifications & Skills
- Physical Therapy Assistant Degree
- Active CA PTA license
- BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of physiology and health promotion
- Strong knowledge of exercise prescription
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to create a safe, motivating, and effective environment for patients
- Strong organizational skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Schedule & Benefits
We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities. Full-time PTAs are scheduled for 36 direct treatment hours per week and receive a full benefits package:

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00 - $37.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
