This is a seasonal position for a kids summer program. We have multiple locations with spots available, but you only need to submit one application.

Who is this job suitable for?
If you're as good at following directions as you are at giving them, then SportsTyme is where you'll want to work this summer. Our program has been around for nearly two decades, and it provides an experience that is as fun for campers as it is tiring and rewarding for the adults who try to keep up with them. At SportsTyme summer camp, we're burning lots of calories as we participate in various sports and games every day. You don't have to be an athlete to work here (most of us aren't); however, you'll certainly be on your feet a lot. This job is good for the person who isn't afraid to let out their inner child and join the fun as kids learn, laugh, and play.

What are the times?
Our program typically runs for 8-10 weeks during the summer. You should check our website for up-to-date information. Camp hours are typically from 7:30 am-6 pm on weekdays (coaches work in 8-hour shifts).

What do the duties include?
The following are given as examples. Training is provided. Other duties and responsibilities may be expected of you:

• Leading a group of about 15 kids in various pre-planned activities (ages 5-12)
• Precisely following instructions given by your camp director
• Memorizing and enforcing our general rules and policies, particularly those dealing with safety
• Reciting our discipline procedures and consistently enforcing them with all our campers
• Treating minor injuries and performing CPR if the need arises (training provided by the American Red Cross)
• Leading large groups (50 ) in camp spirit chants
• Organizing/maintaining sports equipment
• Cleaning tables, chairs, floors and/or bathrooms
• Effectively communicating with your director and fellow coaches

What is the pay? Our pay scale varies depending on experience and qualifications. Coaches are paid hourly.

What training is included? At SportsTyme, we hire people for attitude, character, and the ability to follow instructions. We do not expect our hires to come pre-packaged with specialized knowledge about sports. As long as you have a strong willingness to learn, you'll find our program an excellent fit. Basic training in our various sports and activities happens before camp starts.
