What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafe Manager position at SPoT Coffee?
Café Manager Responsibilities:
- All responsibilities of the Assistant Café and Kitchen Managers * Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving, and building maintenance in café
- Preparing weekly work schedules for employees
- Ensuring that all café expenses are within budget and identifying ways to decrease operational costs
- Taking inventory of café supplies and ordering new stock as needed
- Resolving guest complaints regarding food quality and customer service
- Suggesting new menu items based on guests' preferences and feedback
- Identifying strategies to retain and attract guests
- Handling guest conflict, including panhandling inside and outside the café, unruly guests, drunk or sleeping guests, etc.
- Checks out employees ending their shift to validate all applicable job duties have been completed to Company standards
- Monday Paperwork and Reporting (Actual vs Scheduled, PO Chart, Labor Report, Sales Report, Waste Report, New Hire packets, etc.)
- Ordering (Sysco, US Foods, Alsco, Eurocafe, Roastery, Foods, etc.)
- Implement procedures, checklists specific to their café in order to efficiently operate
- Change bank and petty cash
- Assist in interview process, led by CHRO
- Monitor labor on a shift-by-shift basis
- Social media, led by CSMO
- Incident reports
- Adjust credit card tips
- Form a team that fulfills SPoT’s goals, exhibits a good work ethic, has longevity, and embodies SPoT’s mantra
- Resolve maintenance issues
- Handle all back-of-house payroll and POS issues
- Update schedule restrictions with employee time off requests
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
