Spotify is looking for enthusiastic students with a passion for music and an ambition to go far. This isn't just any internship! Our paid internship program will give you the chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it's like to be a Spotify employee as well as get the opportunity to see the technology side of a fast growing company! Our summer internships will last for approximately 10 weeks this summer and start in the beginning of June.
We’re looking for User Researcher Interns to join the band this summer. In this role, you will get to design research on our products and users and you will have an impact on the way the world listens to and experiences audio content.
\n- Define, plan, and conduct user research with Spotify customers
- Deliver compelling insights to the product and design teams
- Facilitate evidence-based product and design decisions
- Contribute to company-wide research strategy
- You are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Social Science, or a related field
- You have a graduation date of 2025
- You currently have valid work authorization to work in the country in which this role is based that will extend from June to August 2024
- You are available from June to August 2024 to participate in the summer internship
- You have strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with stakeholders across disciplines
- You have experience planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing and communicating research
- You are familiar with quantitative research methods, familiar with metrics and A/B tests, and are able to synthesize quantitative data with qualitative user research
- You are a great storyteller and communicator, able to speak fluently to business teams, designers, engineers and other partners (in English)
- You enjoy collaborative work in a dynamic, data-driven, creative environment
- This role will require you to work out of our New York City Office

The United States hourly rate for this position is $45 USD. This includes a one time intern stipend of $2,253 USD and is overtime eligible. These rates may be modified in the future. The role is eligible for select benefits such as Paid Public Holidays, Free Spotify Premium, and Learning and Development Trainings.
Our paid summer internships last for approximately 10 weeks and start at the beginning of June. The last day to apply is March 15th 2024 at 9 AM EST.
