Spotify is seeking a dedicated and driven Analyst to join its Growth Finance team, focusing on our marketing spend and profitability.
You will partner with our global Growth, Marketing, Finance and Accounting teams to structure and model financial terms across business divisions lines. You'll also own our global marketing budget consolidation.
Through quantitative analysis and strategic thinking, you will play a critical role in supporting decision-making within Spotify’s marketing and growth strategy as well as the company’s overall business planning and forecasting process.

You will partner with our global Growth, Marketing, Finance and Accounting teams to structure and model financial terms across business divisions lines. You'll also own our global marketing budget consolidation.
Through quantitative analysis and strategic thinking, you will play a critical role in supporting decision-making within Spotify’s marketing and growth strategy as well as the company’s overall business planning and forecasting process.
What You'll Do
- Assist in coordination and tracking of our global marketing expense budgets
- Build and execute reporting cadences for our marketing expense
- Assist with cost savings initiatives globally
- Collaborate with performance marketing, investor relations, brand and other finance functions to build a holistic view of our marketing profitability
- Assist with broad finance initiatives focused on simplifying/reducing financial operational demands on partner groups and enabling advanced ROI analysis of marketing spend
- Assist on broad based efficiency and cost savings initiatives across Spotify
- Support company forecasting, budgeting, capital budgeting, and financial operations as needed
- At least 2 years of experience in a complex and data-driven business environment
- Familiarity with SaaS and/or content licensing business models is a plus
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong financial modeling skills and business insights, with the ability to drive projects from start to finish. We’re looking for someone who is not afraid of detail and granularity
- Experience distilling complex systems and frameworks into well-synthesized narratives and recommendations for diverse audiences
- Advanced MS Excel/Google Sheets skills with a deep understanding of model architecture, formula efficiency, and pivot tables
- Experience with SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) tools are a plus
- Ability to stay proactive, organized, and dynamic in a rapidly changing environment; here are various high priority workstreams ongoing at once and balance and organization will help you succeed in this role
- An outgoing, entrepreneurial, and collaborative personality with the ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships
- This role is based in New York, NY
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come into the office 2-3 days per week.
