What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Legal Counsel (Legal Licensing and Business Development) position at Spotify?
We are seeking a senior counsel with a deep understanding of the business and legal customs in the content and creator space to join our team. You will counsel and provide legal support on a variety of matters, with a focus on structuring, negotiating, and drafting agreements related to the acquisition and distribution of video and audio content (i.e., vodcasts and podcasts). What You'll Do
- Negotiate, draft and advise on a wide range of commercial transactions with a focus on content licensing, acquisition, and distribution agreements.
- Provide guidance to senior executives in support of their objectives and helping shape evolving strategies.
- Provide day-to-day legal support with partnerships and production teams, that includes creative and risk assessments as well as advising on clearances.
- Work cross-functionally across finance, operations, advertising and product teams in furtherance of Spotify's content offering.

The United States base range for this position is $198,441-$283,487, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays.
