About the Opportunity:
Our Charlotte office is growing quickly to meet demand in the land development space, and we're looking to bring on a Junior Survey Project Manager who’s ready to take the next step in their career. This role is perfect for someone who has several years of experience in the field and/or office, has begun managing projects, and is either actively pursuing or nearing their Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
You’ll work under the guidance of a senior PLS and support a mix of private-sector land development projects — including residential subdivisions, commercial sites, and work for regional homebuilders.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate field and office operations for ALTA/NSPS surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, plats, and construction stakeout
- Act as a liaison between survey crews, CAD staff, and clients to ensure project milestones are met
- Manage multiple projects with a focus on scheduling, quality control, and budget awareness
- Support deed and utility research, QA/QC, and mapping deliverables
- Participate in client meetings and gain exposure to business development processes
- Work alongside leadership toward obtaining your PLS license
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–6 years of experience in land surveying, preferably with exposure to land development projects
- Project coordination or project management experience within a survey or civil engineering firm
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with Trimble Business Center or similar software is a plus
- FS certification completed (or in progress); active pursuit of PLS licensure is highly valued
- Strong communication skills and an interest in growing into a leadership role
