Spotlock
Charlotte, NC Full Time
POSTED ON 4/5/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/19/2025

About the Opportunity:

Our Charlotte office is growing quickly to meet demand in the land development space, and we're looking to bring on a Junior Survey Project Manager who’s ready to take the next step in their career. This role is perfect for someone who has several years of experience in the field and/or office, has begun managing projects, and is either actively pursuing or nearing their Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.

You’ll work under the guidance of a senior PLS and support a mix of private-sector land development projects — including residential subdivisions, commercial sites, and work for regional homebuilders.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate field and office operations for ALTA/NSPS surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, plats, and construction stakeout
  • Act as a liaison between survey crews, CAD staff, and clients to ensure project milestones are met
  • Manage multiple projects with a focus on scheduling, quality control, and budget awareness
  • Support deed and utility research, QA/QC, and mapping deliverables
  • Participate in client meetings and gain exposure to business development processes
  • Work alongside leadership toward obtaining your PLS license

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–6 years of experience in land surveying, preferably with exposure to land development projects
  • Project coordination or project management experience within a survey or civil engineering firm
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with Trimble Business Center or similar software is a plus
  • FS certification completed (or in progress); active pursuit of PLS licensure is highly valued
  • Strong communication skills and an interest in growing into a leadership role

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive pay range of $30–$40/hour, with flexibility for candidates closer to licensure
  • Supportive team culture focused on mentorship and professional growth
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
  • Long-term opportunity with room for advancement in a growing office

Salary : $30 - $40
