Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking Instructional Coordinators for the 2025-2026 School Year. Instructional Coordinators support the organization and execution of the instructional program within the schools as an adjunct to a teaching assignment.
Essential Functions:
- Assists in developing long- and short-range curriculum goals and objectives
- Evaluates the curriculum and makes recommendations for program improvements
- Assists in the preparation of courses of study and curriculum guides
- Coordinates the school’s programs and activities through the principal
- Assists the principal in creating the instructional master schedule
- Assists in the planning of school-based professional development activities
- Assists in the area of classroom management and evaluation of instruction
- Assists in the placement of practicum students and student teachers
- Assists in ordering instructional materials
- Assists in the interpreting of the instructional program to the community

Education and Experience:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Currently possesses -OR- ability to possess a Virginia Collegiate Professional or Postgraduate Professional License within a specific endorsement(s) area
- Five years of successful, full-time teaching experience, three (3) of which at the secondary level

Employment Terms: Employment may be offered as a 12-Month (240 Day) contract, at a minimum of 7.5 hours worked per day. This position is evaluated annually. Additional compensation awarded for credits earned toward advanced degrees. New employees to Spotsylvania County will be compensated for up to 20 years of experience.
