General Statement of Job
Under general supervision of Swim Lesson Instructor, position is responsible for teaching swimming lessons according to class level to program participants. Employee is responsible for the safety of class participants. Reports to Special Events Coordinator
Special Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports the instructor during swim lessons, according to the guidelines set forth by the
Swim Lesson Coordinator / Instructor.
Minimum Training & Experience
Any combination of education and experience providing the required swimming skills and knowledge for successful performance. Knowledge and / or training in swimming strokes, techniques in teaching the strokes; demonstrates ability to work with adults and children.
Must be 14 years of age or older.
Swim team experience or the ability to demonstrate swimming skills to the Swim Lesson Coordinator / Instructor preferred.
Must be able to perform all skills taught in lessons for all levels.

Our Swim Lesson Program consists of 4 - two week sessions. Classes run Mon - Thurs for two weeks with Friday used as make up days for inclement weather. This position requires hours for planning and preparing for lesson program before and after swim lesson hours. Availability will be discussed if you are selected for an interview.
