Job Summary And Qualifications
- Obtain quality ultrasound images of patients.
- Manage all ultrasound equipment and recognize significant diagnostic information.
- Demonstrates ability to perform all necessary computer operations.
- Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner and always identifies patients utilizing the proper protocol.
- Prepare ultrasound machine and perform quality control tests.
- Assist radiology nurse or radiologist in administering medications, performing biopsies and all types of care to patient.
- Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
- Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties.
- Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients.
- Completes and maintains educational requirements.
EXPERIENCE:
PREFERRED:
- At least 1 year of experience as a staff sonographer
REQUIRED:
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
REQUIRED:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer ARRT or ARDMS
- BLS for Healthcare Providers through AHA or CPR through American Red Cross
- Registered Vascular Technologist certification
