Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapist (PT) for Extended School Year (ESY), you will provide targeted therapy services to students with diverse mobility and physical needs. Your placement will be based on your skills, experience, and areas of interest, ensuring a customized and rewarding experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group therapy to help students develop gross motor skills, balance, coordination, and functional mobility.
Assess and implement adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance accessibility and independence.
Work on strength and endurance development for students with mobility challenges.
Support sensory-motor integration to improve movement, body awareness, and classroom participation.
Collaborate with educators, support staff, and other therapists to create effective therapy interventions.
Maintain student progress records, assessments, and therapy documentation as required.
Participate in IEP meetings and goal setting for students.
What Skills Are Needed on Day One?
Strong foundation in gross motor development, functional mobility, balance, and coordination.
Knowledge of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and sensory-motor integration.

What Does a Typical Day/Week Look Like?
Your schedule will be tailored based on your skills, experience, and interests.
Work in one or multiple settings, depending on student needs.
Provide therapy through individual sessions, small groups, and classroom-based support.
Collaborate daily with educators, therapists, and school staff.
