Job Description:
Spotter Staffing is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Student Support Services team. The ideal candidate will work directly with students, providing speech and language services to support their academic and social success.
As an SLP, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in students from preschool through 8th grade. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide therapy to students with communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments for students with suspected communication delays or disorders.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom settings.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy services.
Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans.
Stay updated on best practices, techniques, and strategies for supporting students with speech and language disorders.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
Valid Illinois licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligible for licensure).
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
