Description
Spotts, Stevens and McCoy is currently recruiting for a Resident Project Representative who will apply theory and principles of environmental engineering to modify, test, and operate equipment and devices used in the prevention, control, and remediation of environmental problems, including waste treatment and site remediation, under the direction of engineering staff or scientist. May assist in the development of environmental remediation devices. May inspect structures and infrastructure using engineering skills to determine structural soundness and compliance with specifications and other regulations. Inspections may be general in nature or may be limited to a specific area.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
- Performs field exploration, monitoring, inspection, testing, analyses, and assessments using equipment and instrumentation specific to his/her discipline.
- Observes construction activities and documents conformance with approved construction drawings/plans, project requirements, standards, and specifications.
- Reports exceptions or deviations from approved plans, specifications, and/or construction issues to project manager.
- Verifies the work of contractors for accuracy, proper work methods, techniques, and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Observes required testing and prepares test reports.
- Prepares summary reports and recommendations.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree or commensurate experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience.
