COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. While we strive to provide competitive and transparent compensation, there may be circumstances where an offer is above or outside of the listed range. We are open to discussing salary expectations with qualified candidates considering factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location will all be considered during the hiring process.

Supervisor, IT Engineering -  Pay Range: $109,500.00 -$142,250.00

Become the next Supervisor on our IT Engineering team!

Work with your team to develop, support, and maintain applications vital to the core functions of SPP’s Engineering Department. You will be responsible for guiding and supporting your IT team members. This involves providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to help them develop their skills and careers. You will collaborate with other members of the IT management staff as well as your Business Partner to develop processes and plans that align with SPP's overall strategic initiatives. This likely involves aligning IT efforts with the organization's broader goals and objectives. Being customer-focused is essential, as you will likely be working closely with different business groups and end-users. Providing excellent customer service and support is critical. You'll need to engage with various stakeholders, both within the IT department and from other parts of the business. This involves understanding their needs and ensuring that IT solutions and services are meeting those needs in a timely and effective manner.

If you possess strong organizational skills, effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to lead and guide a team, this role at SPP could be a great fit for you. To be successful in the role we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology-related field, or equivalent job-related experience
  • Eight (8) years of experience in Information Technology, Customer Service, Engineering, Financial Management, or a related field
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to function with constantly changing and multiple priorities
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
  • Proven experience participating in in internal and external audits
  • Competent knowledge of operating systems, desktop applications, and proven analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Understanding of, compliance with and enforcement of SPP Policies and Procedures

Preferred:

  • Five (5) years of team leadership experience
  • Related technical certifications
  • Experience in vendor relations and vendor management
  • Development background
  • Experience in managing technical evaluations of emerging technologies

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of workweek are Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Working extended hours may be required.

Travel Requirement:

This position requires minimal (5-20%) travel
