A Field Technician is responsible for the on-site maintenance, inspection, and repair of rental equipment used in oil and gas operations, including tasks like visual inspections, valve maintenance, and minor repairs, ensuring the equipment is in safe and operational condition at well sites, often requiring travel to different locations and working in demanding outdoor environments. This position will require applicants to be available for call-outs 24 hours a day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visual inspections:
Regularly inspect equipment for damage, leaks, corrosion, and proper functioning of valves, gauges, and safety devices.
- Maintenance tasks:
Perform routine maintenance including valve lubrication, tightening connections, replacing worn parts, and cleaning tank exteriors.
- Minor repairs:
Address minor issues like leaks, valve malfunctions, and minor mechanical problems.
- Documentation:
Accurately record inspection findings, repair details, and maintenance activities on required paperwork.
- Safety compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following job safety analysis (JSEA) guidelines.
