Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Combo Cleaner/Vactor Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a Class B CDL or higher with a tanker endorsement who are willing to work in outdoor environments across various weather conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Vactor trucks and sewer cleaning equipment, performing confined space entries, and ensuring job site safety. Prior Vactor experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.whims
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, prepare, and transport equipment to and from job sites.
- Set up, operate, and maintain Vactor trucks and sewer cleaning equipment.
- Perform confined space entries, which may require climbing, standing, and working in awkward positions.
- Lift equipment weighing up to 80 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Drive and operate additional vehicles, including pickup trucks.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Set up and maintain traffic control measures at job sites.
- Use and maintain various personal protective equipment (PPE), including chemical protective suits, respiratory protection, safety harnesses, and air monitoring devices.
- Operate handheld tools and power equipment such as shovels and power drills.
- Maintain job site safety and ensure high-quality work performance.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for reporting and communication.
- Read maps and navigate effectively.
- Maintain a positive attitude, stay organized, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating Vactor trucks (preferred but not required).
- General knowledge of jetter cleaning nozzles (helpful but not necessary).
- Previous experience in underground infrastructure, sewer cleaning, or a related field.
Requirements:
- Valid Class B CDL (or higher) with tanker endorsement.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in confined spaces and follow all safety protocols.
- Ability to travel to different job sites as needed.
