Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Team Lead to oversee our residential painting projects and lead our team to ensure the successful completion of job. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent supervisory skills, and a thorough understanding of safety regulations. As a Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in coordinating activities on-site, managing resources, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within specifications and to the highest degree of excellence. You will be responsible for communicating and setting clear expectations with clients throughout each job. You are also responsible for helping with daily activities such as taping, masking, cleaning, sanding, etc.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the jobsite to ensure adherence to project plans and safety standards
- Utilize Spray-Net management software to plan and track project progress, manage schedules, and allocate resources effectively
- Read and interpret contracts and technical documents to guide daily activities and responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team up to five people effectively
- Train and mentor team members in best practices for safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure compliance with Spray-Net process and product standards
- Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively
- Maintain clear communication with all team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage client expectations and maintain open, friendly communication to ensure client is kept up-to-date on project status
- Ensure jobsite, truck and trailer are well maintained and always organized
- Ensure inventory is tracked and always maintained at an appropriate level
- Manage final payment and closing out a job with the client
- Get your hands dirty with the team. Help with set-up, clean, sand, etc. and with minor repairs
- Ensure equipment is being maintained and properly cleaned by the appropriate employees
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry
- 2 years in painting and spray application preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Completion of Spray-Net's online training program
- Independent and self-motivated
- Conflict management skills
- Flexible working hours
- Ability to work at heights and lift heavy objects
- Responsible for company truck and transport of trailer to-and-from jobsites
- Valid driver's license
- Language: English (Bilingual strongly preferred)
