JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and have the ability to lead a team of preppers and painters in delivering high-quality results. This role requires proficiency with various tools and equipment and expertise in painting kitchen cabinets and building exteriors for both residential and commercial buildings. As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring that all work meets safety requirements, client specifications, and Spray-Net's high customer services standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the painting crew to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure the job site and trucks look professional and team is wearing Spray-Net provided uniforms.
- Make sure equipment stays in top shape and proper inventory is maintained (this should be delegated to prep staff).
- Prepare surfaces for painting by moving furniture and appliances (if necessary); cleaning, taping and masking the work area: removing doors, drawers and hardware from cabinets: removing gutters, weather stripping, caulking, etc. where appropriate; protecting customer's landscaping and gardens; and cleaning, sanding, making minor repairs, and applying primers as needed.
- Should be skilled in spackling and painting with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment while ensuring even coverage.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and drywall installers, to complete projects effectively.
- Train new team members on proper painting techniques and safety protocols.
- Learn the Spray-Net way.

- Language: English. Bilingual a plus (Spanish & English)
- Complete our online and on-site training program
- 2 years in painting industry
- Must be well versed in the use and maintenance of paint spray guns. Experience with Graco products a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and or vehicle
