Porter

Role: Porter (Full-Time)

The Porter reports to the Production Supervisor and/or the Production Manager for assignments, direction and assistance.

The Porter is expected to assist in the cleaning and sanitizing of the office, the up-keep of the warehouse and maintain a neat and organized outside grounds. This individual must be detail oriented, with a strong work ethic to ensure that all parts of the facility remain neat and organized. They must maintain self, equipment and all working areas in a clean and orderly manner following Spray-Tek and GMP guidelines. This may include cardboard bailing, pallet upkeep, organizing, rinsing and preparing used packaging material for pick-up.

Responsibilities:

• Vacuum all carpeted areas in the office and non-GMP areas.
• Sweep and mop all other floor surfaces in the office and non-GMP areas.
• Dust all surfaces in the office and non-GMP areas.
• Restock all personal protective equipment (PPE) in the non-GMP areas and production floor.
• Maintain a clean and organized staff break room.
• Clean, sanitize and restock all bathrooms in the facility.
• Clean, organize and maintain stainless steel tables/ cabinets on the production floor.
• Take inventory and order facility supplies on a weekly basis.
• Keep the conference room, lab, break room, and entry way clean and organized.
• Work with all departments to ensure optimal service levels.
• Demonstrate teamwork and a customer focused attitude.
• Other miscellaneous department duties as needed.
• Ensure all cardboard is maintained and bailed.
• Keep empty drum trailers organized.
• Rinse and/or prepare used packaging material for pick-up.
• Dispose extra powder and broken pallets in open top trailer.
• Sort and organize all pallets.
• Maintain compactor and advise upper management when full.
• Sweep and mop under all racks in the warehouse.
• Dust the racks in the warehouse.
• Maintain all forklifts clean and charged.
• Dispose of all facility garbage.
• Ensure a clean and tidy men’s locker room.
• Keep a daily log in the Sanitation Log Book.
• Work with all departments to ensure optimal service levels.
• Demonstrate teamwork and a customer focused attitude.
• Other miscellaneous department duties as needed.

Required Skills/Experience:

• High School graduate or equivalent with English fluency
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Basic detail cleaning experience
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel
• Willingness to learn how to operate a forklift
