Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic 100% Travel

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Field Mechanic who brings with them a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to contribute to the overall success of a great team.
The Field Mechanic is responsible for diagnosis, repair and preventative maintenance of a large fleet of earthmoving equipment. This includes troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic defects on equipment such as excavators, loaders, trenchers, forklifts, and more.
Job Duties:
- Follow all safety rules and regulations when performing work assignments.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on all fleet equipment.
- Make mechanical repairs to equipment after completion of inspection and analysis of breakdown.
- Record complete repair description on work order, including the correct model and the serial number of equipment and record hour meter reading.
- Lubricate moving parts and operates repaired equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
- Maintain the professional image of self and service truck by focusing on cleanliness and presentation.
- Maintain an acceptable driving record and follow all rules and regulations related to having a CDL
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical School Certificate and 2 years of related work experience or 5 years of related work experience.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Demonstrated history of safe, reliable work habits
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy earthmoving equipment
- Working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions
- Strong Communication Skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel extensively, including overnight
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work for long periods of time performing tasks that may require repetitive lifting, standing, kneeling, sitting, grasping, twisting, and climbing stairs/ladders.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when required
- Ability to lift of up to 60 pounds
