    Primary Purpose:
    Oversee and support assessment, research, and compliance programs, PK-12. Manage and direct the design, development, review, and continuous improvement of data-driven decision making across the system. Support campus leaders with goal setting and lead the development and monitoring of district improvement processes.

    Qualifications/Skills:
    Education/Certification:
    • Master's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university required.
    • Valid Texas Administrator or Mid-Management certification, preferred.
    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • A thorough knowledge of state testing programs and accountability systems.
    • Expertise in education policies, regulations, and reporting procedures.
    • Demonstrated skill in leading, cooperating, and communicating with others.
    • Ability to work with databases and online web applications and tools.
    • Highly organized and ability to multi-task.
    • Excellent writing and communications skills.
    Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in an instructional leadership role preferred.
    • Experience in public school assessment programs, federal and state accountability, program evaluation methodologies, and data science preferred.
    • Experience as a director and/or principal preferred.
    • At least 3 years of teaching experience required.

    Major Duties and
    Responsibilities:
    Instructional Leadership
    • Establish and monitor data points and research methodology for campus and district improvement.
    • Generate regular, timely, formal data reports for use in district-wide decision making and planning.
    • Direct processes for internal and external reporting, including federal and state reporting.
    • Oversee and report on state and federal accountability processes.
    • Prepare, review, revise, and present information to the Board of Trustees, district staff, and the community.
    • Work with appropriate staff and campus leaders to develop, align, and maintain a district assessment calendar.
    • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of campus and district improvement planning.
    • Collaborate with other Academics leaders to ensure aligned approaches are in place to increase CCMR metrics at all campuses.
    • Form and utilize appropriate advisory groups to assist with the evaluation and planning of professional learning and reporting processes.
    • Monitor and report on state accountability requirements.
    • Oversee district assessment processes with high expectations.
    Organizational Management
    • Supervise staff to ensure that data and professional learning are presented as practical and useful in order to support successful implementation and drive district improvement.
    • Oversee priorities for research and grant reporting.
    • Develop procedures and processes that will ensure that goals, objectives, and key measures are developed, reviewed, and revised using a collaborative process and problem-solving techniques when appropriate.
    • Provide executive leadership for various budgets and administer local, state, and federal budgets prudently and in a manner that aligns to district goals and objectives.
    • Analyze critical needs in assigned areas and work collaboratively to design, implement, refine, and evaluate assigned programs in order to continuously improve the department.
    Other:
    • Comply with policies established by federal and state law, including but not limited to State Board of Education and local Board policy.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory
    Responsibilities:
    Supervise and evaluate the performance of all assigned staff. Ensure direct reports complete annual evaluation process for their assigned staff.

    • Work extended and irregular hours.
    • This position requires regular in-person interaction with the public.
