What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Tennis Instructor position at Spring Branch Tennis Association?
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Tennis Instructor to join our team. We teach a Youth Development program offering free or low-cost tennis to students in our community. Most of our programs operate during after School hours. Instructors will also have an opportunity to schedule their own private lessons through our program and assist with the many tournaments that take place over various weekends.
Duties:
-Develop and deliver lesson plans that cater to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced players.
- Provide high-quality tennis coaching to students, focusing on skill development, game strategy, and sportsmanship.
- Implement the ROGY progression system to ensure age-appropriate learning and development for students under 10.
-Encourage and motivate students to achieve their personal and athletic goals.
-Provide regular feedback to students on their performance and areas for improvement.
-Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and staff.
Skills:
-Experience in coaching and instruction is a plus but not required.
-Canidates should have a firm understanding of the tennis swing and fundamentals of the game
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.83 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
