What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resort Maintenance and Guest Services position at Spring Brook Resort?
This position requires a positive attitude and the ability to problem solve on the go as well as a high degree of operational skills. Employees work with our guests or private vacation homeowners and must possess good interpersonal skills. The ability to work hand in hand with your co-workers, other departments, and management to achieve the ultimate goal, a satisfied customer, is necessary for this job. The person in this position will report to the Maintenance Manager and operate under the Resort’s Maintenance crew who perform the various preventive and emergency tasks associated with the operation of our vacation rental properties and resort facilities. In addition- the employee will be providing supplemental support for the Housekeeping crew and as such will report to the Housekeeping Manager. The goal is to ensure that facilities are in a good and safe condition at all times.
This is a full time/year-round position with shift structure fluctuating seasonally.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Minor painting, wall repair, small patchwork.
- Construction and repair skills, including small power tools, and hand tool operation.
- Perform general household maintenance
- Small appliance troubleshoot and repair, including refrigerators, TV, Vacuum cleaners, etc.
- Ability to assess maintenance issues, conduct repairs as needed, communicate to management for repair follow up
- Minor wood refinishing, such as trim/doors, and furniture pieces.
- Guest residential garbage collection
- Soiled linen collection from rental properties for the purpose of laundering
- Grounds upkeep, including some landscaping, yard cleans, snow removal, and general repair.
- Ability to adapt to varying work situations, with frequent unexpected events.
- Perform predictive/preventative maintenance operations as required
- Help with the maintaining of company vehicles
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
- General common area cleaning and equipment maintenance
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED, preferred
- A valid driver's
- Some technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, plumbing and heating etc.) is a plus
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Flexible availability (weekends, evening and holiday hours may be required)
