Requirements of the Admissions Nurse (RN):
- Licensed Practical Nurse (RN) preferred with effective leadership & supervisory skills in a long-term care setting
- Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations
- Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
Responsibilities of the Admissions Nurse (RN):
- Completing assessments on new admissions
- Reviewing hospital records and verifying orders with physicians
- Medication and treatment reconciliation
- Transcribing physician orders
- Completing initial baseline care plans
